The Soft Moon [Total Decay, Captured Tracks]

I was told about a week ago that The Soft Moon played some new songs at a show here in San Francisco. Usually when that happens a lot of speculation soon follows about where these songs will be found. This morning Pitchfork reported that Luis will be releasing a new EP titled Total Decay which has a Halloween release date. One of the tracks can be heard below. If one is looking for something to do that night or an excuse to make into SF, the record release show will be held at The Independent; definitely a show not to miss. RSVP here

This Thursday Luis Vasquez will perform solo as The Soft Moon at Milk Bar in San Francisco. There has been a lot of talk and optimism in regards to how Vasquez will perform his self-titled breakout album. Most people I have talked with are simply loaded with excitement and anticipation and dying to hear The Soft Moon live for the first time. Vasquez will be accompanied by the darkwave and synth heavy ladies of Violet Tremors.
