A few weeks ago, Canadian producer/MC Emay dropped a second EP for the year with Incorruptible. Emay has appeared more than once on this blog and if one thing is clear, his brand of Hip Hop is different from the rest. I've noticed Emay doesn't recruit other MCs to feature on tracks, rather he tends to collab with the brighter stars of the indie/electronic blogosphere. For instance, the track below "Bars" features Evan Abeele from Memoryhouse on piano with Optimist Park (Kiss Kiss Fantastic) ending the song with powerful vocals. Emay's persistant focus on this spectrum of the music world makes for interesting listening, need I say creating experimental sounding Hip Hop.

ReplyDeleteNot bad, had some pretty great lines in there.. I could have done without the outro singing, but overall a good song. I would say better than Drake ;)
