Event: Little Wings / Royal Baths / Sea Of Bees / White Cloud [The Verdi Club, 08.06.2011]

This Saturday, San Francisco blog, The Bay Bridged, turns 5 years old and to celebrate have put together a pretty stacked lineup. Co-headlining the show will be Little Wings and Royal Baths (this will be their farewell show as the band will be relocating to New York). Also on the bill is the very talented Sea Of Bees and blog favorites White Cloud. DJs for the event will be Peter Arko (Ears of the Beholder / City Limits Records co-founder) and Kevin Meenan (Epicsauce). The event is a benefit show with a sliding scale of $10-20 which helps the non-profit organization fund the free events they put on (Rock Make Festival and the recent Phono Del Sol) as well as keeping the site alive.

Tickets for the show can be found here with more information on the show here

Little Wings - How Come
Royal Baths - After Death

White Cloud [Braised Cattle / Alarm Clock]

San Francisco band White Cloud have released another digital single this month. Both tunes were with Jason Kick of fellow city mates Maus Haus. The two songs can be heard below, with "Braised Cattle" probably being one of my favorite songs the band have put together. They will be playing the Regional Bias show along with Little Wings, Seas of Bees and Royal Baths (last show before they head out East). Go here to listen to all the songs the band have released leading up to their debut 12'' release.

White Cloud [I Know It / Sundew]

San Francisco's White Cloud are a band who featured on this blog back in July of 2010 and I have been a huge fan of these dudes ever since. Nick from the band sent over a new single titled "I Know It" which can be heard below. The song was released as a digital single and can be found here. Nick explains that a few more songs will be released as singles, backed with B-Sides, all leading to an official LP release. They are a must see live band who perform with loads of energy and play exceptionally well. Their next show is at Bottom of the Hill on June 25th in support for Wooden Bird.

White Cloud [Starting A Cult]

I had the privilege of seeing another phenomenal young San Francisco band play last week at Bottom of the Hill. Having never heard of this band before I was very happy to have made it early to catch the set. The band is called White Cloud, their sound is energetic, psychedelic, thrashy with a bit of pop thrown in; I was head bopping and dancing for the entire performance. The venue was packed, even the lead singer gave a collective "Oh Shit!" when he looked upon us all, gazed upon the instruments and pedals, ready for more. The band play shows around the bay area, mostly in San Francisco. The band currently have a free EP available for download here with full release coming soon later in the year. They will be at the Hemlock Tavern July 23rd in support of Love Is Chemicals.
