Toro Y Moi [Still Sound, Carpark Records]
"Still Sound" is the new track from Toro y Moi's sophomore album titled Underneath The Pine which will be released on February 22 on Carpark Records. The track was all over the blogosphere yesterday and can be found below in case you missed it.

Toro Y Moi [Blessa / You Hid, Daytrotter Session]
The signs were all there, Chaz's amazing video shoot for Yours Truly back in May, the hiring of a full band for his live shows during the spring/summer and the very good sounding 7'' Leave Everywhere which dropped the whole chillwave act and gave him a more indie sound. While he was one of the original musicians to push chillwave and his album Causers Of This is an album of the year, I am very happy to listen to his latest Daytrotter session. Which ever direction Chaz moves Toro Y Moi I will be listening regardless as his talents as a musician have broken though as he simply makes amazing music.

Toro Y Moi's "Causers of This" record this year has been one of my favorites so I was stoked to read about his new song off an upcoming 7'' on Carpark Records. July 20th is the scheduled release date.

The brilliant folks over at Yours Truly filmed a short live performance from Toro Y Moi in mid April at Different Furs studio in San Francisco; the song is off his Causers of This album.
