I was happy to see this on the Mexican Summer website, the announcement of the new Dungen album, Skit I Allt. The Swedish psych rockers have been a personal favorite of mine for several years now and have been craving some new jams since their previous album 4. Dungen fuses psych rock with elements of Hip Hop and Jazz with the latter being the most obvious and dominant. The new track "Marken Låg Stilla" starts off with Gustav solo on piano which builds into the familiar sound that Dungen have harnessed over the years; Jazz drum rhythms and piano with wailing guitar and Gustavs unmistakable vocals. The album has a September 14th release date and a Fall tour to soon follow.
