The Splinters [Carcass, Southpaw Records]

Exciting stuff from Oakland label Southpaw Records. Founder Rob Fales keeps maintaing a heavy collection of some of the best garage rock out there. The Splinters are back with a new single, "Carcass" which can be streamed below. Glad to see another release by them, wasn't too sure what the future held but "Carcass" proves they haven't missed a step. The two new tracks were recorded in Oakland by Bare Wires lead Matthew Melton. The single will be ready to ship July 15th, pre-order here for a limited (100 copies) special edition color version.

Blood On My Hands is the new 7'' single for Oakland/Berkeley garage band The Splinters, released on Southpaw Records. With band member nicknames like "Flapjacks" and "Spex" these ladies mean business and play some serious lo-fi punk music that overtakes your head and stays there for days. Catch them on tour at Bottom of the Hill in San Francisco, August 18th for the record release as they play along with The Sandwitches and Woven Bones
