Fungi Girls [Velvet Days, HoZac Records]
Fungi Girls continue their psych/surf rock sounds on their new full-length, “Some Easy Magic,” due out later this summer on HoZac Records. Head over to the bands bandcamp page and grab two songs off of “Some Easy Magic” to tie you over till the release. It’s safe to say we can expect the Texas trio to deliver even more first-rate hazy rock sounds on their forthcoming LP.

Fungi Girls [Sun Blues Split 7'', Psychic Lunch Records]
"Sun Blues" is the A-side on this new split 7'' from Texas' teen garage rockers Fungi Girls. This new single is the follow up to their impressive 7'' on Hozac Records and is a step forward for the band. Their sound seems to have matured a bit from their last effort; "Sun Blues" is more about making a tight and clean lo-fi garage track with cool melodies and an incredibly addictive baseline with a fantastic fuzz guitar solo to close out the track. The B-side is from Indian Wars out of Vancouver. The 7''s are limited to 300 copies on colored vinyl and can be picked up here from a fantastic new label called Psychic Lunch Records

Fungi Girls [Turquoise Hotel b/w Doldrums 7'', Hozac Records]
Hozac Records will have a few releases this May which include the new Woven Bones and this gem. A single from Texas's Fungi Girls, which will be there first for Hozac with a full debut coming later in the year. They currently have a 12'' EP out on Play Pinball Records and will be touring the West Coast in late July.
