Secret Mountains [Rejoice, Friends Records]

Psych rock outfit Secret Mountains will be releasing a new cassette titled Rejoice which will be the follow up the Kaddish EP. What started out as a Baltimore two piece now comes packaged with six members all contributing to this mind bending track going well over the 6 minute mark. Weekends [Rain Girl (short), Friends Records]

I made the mistake of confusing this band with the SF band Weekend after quickly reading a tweet from Luke over at In Buenos Aires in Stanton Island. But the mistake was well worth it as this band, with the "S", is noisy and full of energy. The following track is off their new album albeit a shorter version but nonetheless an awesome song.
