Total Babes [Like They Always Do, Old Flame Records]

Last October at a Cloud Nothings show here in San Francisco, I got into a conversation with the band about some of the music coming out of Cleveland. Rather going in depth about the scene, several members of the band started talking about other projects that they were involved in and Total Babes is apparently one of them. Technically out of Medina Total Babes is a four piece made up of Chris Brown, Gary Spolarich and Jayson Gerycz and Joe Boyer from Cloud Nothings. "Like They Always Do" is the first single from their debut LP, Swimming Through Sunlight, which is to be released August 30th on Old Flame Records.

Cloud Nothings [Even If It Worked Out 7'', Old Flame Records]

I learned about this Cleveland band from the now sold out split cassette with Campfires released on Bathetic Records and was hooked ever since. Their music is centered around catchy pop tunes with fuzz (but of course) laced in between. The following track is off a new 7'' single to be released on June 24th on Old Flame Records.

The 7'' can be picked up here
Their full debut release on vinyl can be picked up here, CD here
