Upon hearing the first note of "Easy Way Out", the lead track to Austin's Midnight Ghost, the guitar playing somewhat reminded me a little of Real Estate and on the next few tracks "Time" and "Shone" a little bit Akron/Family with the vocal harmonies. Being that Real Estate and Akron/Family to be favorites of mine, I was instantly drawn in and loving what I was hearing. Putting comparisons aside Midnight Ghost have created a distinct sound between the lines of indie and psychedelic with the entire course of the album very enjoyable. The six track record can be streamed here as well as other music crafted by the band. I would also recommend checking out My Holiday On The Space Station
