San Francisco have yet another awesome band to be proud of. The Mantles are a relatively new group that play killer garage-pop rock, songs like "What We Do Matters" and "Look Away" just get you moving. Their 2009 self-titled debut release was an incredible album that I just can't stop spinning and is worth a listen to. Their live shows are solid, fun to watch and they play with a very good sense of humor. The Mantles will have a new EP called Pink Information, coming out on Mexican Summer and the song "Cascades" from the new record is a gem. Its the perfect summer time jam with a lovely retro feel to it; The Velvet Underground first came to mind and that is always a plus.
Cascades
The digital album can be picked up here; vinyl coming soon
