Holiday Shores [Spells, TwoSyllable Records]

"Spells" is the first single off of Holiday Shores' forthcoming LP New Masses for Squaw Peak out September 13th on Twosyllable Records. The Tallahassee act released their Columbus'd The Whim LP back in '09; nice to see these dudes continue their lovely pop rock sounds on another full-length.

You can pre-order New Masses for Squaw Peak here and listen to a few other Holiday Shores tracks here.

That Ghost [To Like You, Two Syllable Records]

Last year at Noise Pop festival here in San Francisco, it was my first time getting exposed to Santa Rosa's That Ghost. That Ghost is Ryan Schmale who wrote and recorded  Songs Out Here his 5th album, 4th under the Two Syllables label.  Hear a couple new tracks below and pre-order the album here

Candy Claws [Hidden Lands, Two Syllable Records]

Candy Claws consist of Ryan Hover and Kay Bertholf as the masterminds behind this incredible Colorado duo. Even though there are only two official members in the band the sound is that of an army of musicians (see live show) as there is so much going on throughout the wonderfully orchestrated songs. They are indeed dreamy and whimsical but enthralling as the ear and mind attempt to take in everything that is going on. I am very glad to see that after their tour troubles a month ago, they continued on with the tour and now have a second album under their belts (released August 3rd). Candy Claws will be back in San Francisco September 5th at Bottom of the Hill.

The album can be picked up here
