I first learned about this record and side project from Oh Sees frontman John Dwyer a couple weeks ago from one of my favorite sites and the sample track peaked my interest. For not having ventured much into jazz or some forms of experimental music I started listening to this with no expectation. There is no fuzzy guitar or reverbed vocals here, only untitled instrumental tracks which sees John performing on drums, flute and bass strings. He is accompanied by Randy Sutherland and Shaun O'Dell in which the three create an experimental jazz sound that feels improvised yet exceptionally psychedelic.
