Sound & Vision [Fivepoints Arthouse, San Francisco 08.20.2010]

Sound & Vision will be a new visual arts group show which bridges the gap between music and art. The opening day of the show will begin this Friday the 20th at Fivepoints Arthouse in San Francisco. All of the art on display will have been created by San Franciscan and Bay Area musicians. Friday the 20th will also feature live performances from some of the participating artists; Clouds, Parergon and Blood Beach. The show will run through September 11th 2010.

The show is curated by Crispin McCabe of SFitall. Crispin is a Photographer, Booking Agent/Promoter, Arts Curator, sometimes writer & also DJ Dirty Needles on the new pirate Radio Valencia. Formerly of Seattle he was Gallery Director of CoCA (Center on Contemporary Arts) a 501(c)(3) non profit Art Gallery from 2000-3, and currently sits on the Events Committee of Creativity Explored. Crispin has been active as a photographer since 2000, primarily shooting live concerts. He can often be found at gallery shows and concerts all over San Francisco where he currently resides.


Fivepoints Arthouse is an artist-run alternative space in San Francisco. Fivepoints seeks to challenge traditional notions of what the creative space can be. By exhibiting significant, engaging and challenging works of art, as well as conceptualizing and creating forward thinking design solutions, Fivepoints operates as a unique resource for creative impulses.

Fivepoints Arthouse claims an active role in shaping the future of the Transbay District and SOMA as well as all of San Francisco by promoting visibility, accessibility and by offering a true alternative model for interactions between the community and the creator.
